As you look for ways to expand your instruction and engage your students, Charger Foundation Principal Grants are available to help you be a more innovative and successful principal. The 2024/2025 Principal Grant Application is open below.
Charger Foundation Principal Grants
Awarded grants will be creative and provide enrichment, not basic resources. They may include the following categories:
· Projects
· Experiences
· Creative Learning Opportunities
· Professional Development
Grant Amounts
There are no dollar limits on grant applications. Funds are not limitless, but don’t feel limited by money in your request.
Grant Instructions
Seek approval from the Director of Schools before submitting application, if needed.
Submit online application by Friday, August 16, 2024, at 5 p.m.
Complete all grant application sections to be considered.
Grant Expectations
Grant funds must be used specifically for the project and materials listed on the application, not on additional items.
Charger Foundation will distribute award checks in September. Grant envelope with enclosed receipts and any other related documentation must be submitted by December 31, 2024, for fall purchases and by May 1, 2025, for spring purchases.
Grant recipients are encouraged to submit digital images of funded items or experiences with a brief description of how students were impacted by December 31, 2024, for fall purchases and by May 1, 2025, for spring purchases. This can be done by tagging the Charger Foundation on social media or emailing files to info@chargerfoundation.org.
All grant funds must be used by May 1, 2025. Unspent funds exceeding 10% of each grant amount should be returned to the Charger Foundation before the last day of school. Any unspent funds below $150 per grant are exempt from this threshold.
Any items purchased with Foundation grant funds become the property of the Martin school where the recipient works at the time of application.
By accepting Foundation grant funds, you agree to provide feedback to the Foundation on the project. The Foundation reserves the right to share information about the project with the Martin community.
Grant Award Timeline
· Grant Application Opens: Monday, July 22, 2024
· Grant Due Date: Friday, August 16, 2024 (5 p.m.)
· Volunteer Review Committee: August 21 – 28, 2024
· Charger Foundation Approval: Thursday, September 5, 2025
· Grant Announcement: Monday, September 16, 2024
